We don't pay extra 'tax' on orders eh ???

A seller is trying to charge me 'tax' on an item I have bought - Even though this was not mentioned on their page where it expressly says: "Free Express Delivery from outside UK"
Trying to cancel the order and get a refund is driving me crazy ...
If I wait until it arrives they will charge me for the return.
They are the guilty ones ...
Things like this really put me off buying online ...

This is nothing to do with eBay or eBay sellers, its set by our very own HMRC if you're importing an item from outside the UK.
If you'd like to give us the listing number we'd be happy to take a look to confirm.

Mentor1 month agoWhere is your buyer based? I presume on the basis 'free express delivery from outside UK' that you are being charged VAT which is correct and what the UK government collect from eBay. So as you put it, ebay are not the guilty.
