Watch out for bogus return scammers
I had a brand-new item returned for a bogus reason. the scammer had obviously worked out eBay’s algorithms and knew what words or expressions to use in order to facilitate the return. I of course refused the return but the scammer won on appeal.
when the item was returned, I discovered that the scammer had managed to change my return address somehow and the item got sent to the scammer’s address. Now over a month later eBay are still looking for the refund money. I have spoken to several representatives who have assured me that this matter is sorted yet I keep getting demands for this money. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Mentor7 months agoThis is a known scam but there is no ebay process for how to deal with it so you are at their mercy.
Have you reported it to 'Report Fraud' the new (and more accurate' name for Action Fraud?
