eBay only enforces its own terms and conditions, which basically say that if an item is tracked as delivered the seller isn't responsible for what happened to it afterwards. You accepted this in the user agreement.
Were your sellers registered as UK business sellers? If so, your statutory consumer rights place a greater responsibility on them to ensure that you receive items. You could try asking your payment provider e.g. credit or debit card issuer whether they can help, and point this out to them.
Or in theory you could use the government online money claims scheme (MCOL). But delivery disputes are complicated and uncertain and probably not worth considering for anything except high value items. Take advice from citizens advice or a solicitor first.
eBay presents itself as safe but in reality there are many hidden risks for both buyers and sellers. For buyers, delivery issues not covered by eBay's money back guarantee have become probably the greatest risk for buyers.

Mentor3 weeks agoeBay do not deliver your items, they are a selling platform.
Your items were delivered by the courier the seller selected , and if the seller paid extra for tracking and that tracking showed delivery, then eBay have to believe that. Before when you were refunded, there was probably no tracking.
Have you opened a case for item not received? If this was a Simple Delivery transaction you should be lucky with a refund.
Items get stolen all the item, you said yourself it was left in an unsafe place, so again not eBay's fault they have no way to know where an item is left.
You need to contact the courier about this, or try your home insurance see if that can cover the loss.
