Warranty product is faulty

I bought an AC compressor for my vehicle that’s brand new and was installed in September 2025.
I didn’t regas it at the time due to the weather being fine however this year with the heat I tried to regas it but it wouldn’t. Turned out the ac compressor is faulty. The seller which advertises a 2 year warranty was informed of this so they asked for a report. I provided a mechanics report and they replied with we will pass it onto our accounts team to review. Has been over a month now and they haven’t bothered replying to a single message. I’ve sent them several chasers since but no reply. I’ve communicated to them via WhatsApp recently but they read the message and don’t reply. Seems like they don’t want to issue a refund hence why they don’t bother. EBay has become ridiculous as I’ve reported the listing to be fraudulent considering the warranty they advertise isn’t honoured at all but they use AI so it finds zero fault with it. Going round in circles
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Mentor1 week agoAll they do when looking at a reported listing is look to see if there is anything within the body of the listing itself that breaks any policy. They don't take wider information into account.

Mentor1 week agoI'm afraid it's too late to do anything about it on ebay. They only allow 30 days for claims and don't get involved with warranties. Payment providers allow 120 days so too late for that too. You might consider using the small claims court, now called money claim online:

You can report them to Trading Standards if they are a UK business seller.
