I sold 2 items to the same person, (only one was simple delivery as very old listing) bought a label through Ebay (Royal Mail) then realised should have used the Simple Delivery Label, so cancelled the RM label and awaited my refund. I also sent the buyer a postage refund.Noticed yesterday the refund for the label had been declined, contacted Ebay (By Live Chat) and was told it would be in my account within 10 mins, it wasn't. Spent 40 mins on the phone this morning to Ebay CS and was told the agent who had agreed the refund was incorrect as Ebay had refunded the buyer (directly) But I had paid for the label out of my proceeds for the sale. They said the agent would contact me. I checked with the buyer she has confirmed she has only received a refund from ME nothing from Ebay. So I still think I am entitled to a refund of the postage I returned to the buyer. Please advise what if anything I can do?? Thanks

Your buyer paid for the label, so they'll receive a refund in 30 days.

Its been over 30 days?? Also the buyer paid for the label I used, but the other one was paid from my proceeds from the sale, eg:- Item Price £3.50 + £5.35 postage, total to me £8.85, (as was listed before simple delivery was introduced) label purchased ( by me, as showing in my transaction history) £3.35.

This is how refunds work for unused Simple Delivery labels:

If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days

If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling. Also ensure you add the replacement tracking number of the service used, and it shows delivery.

Thanks but the label I requested a refund for wasn't a Simple Delivery label? Because the item was listed before Simple Delivery came into force. I paid for it out of the proceeds of the sale.(item £3.35 + £5.35 Postage Total £8.85 cost of label £3.35) I clicked on the void label (and had an email to say they were dealing with it) as soon as I realised I was going to use the simple delivery label. I refunded the buyer the cost of this postage (as a refund on the item) and awaited the refund which has been declined, I've never had a problem with a postage refund before?
