Very confused -when an offer is made what you actually get is not the full offer ebay are advising you have had on an item why when its free to sell?
HI I am new to this but I received an offer by way of email from ebay on an item I am selling and then said I would receive a lesser amount. As I dont sell 300 items a month lol this would be my first and I am a private seller why am I paying for the buyer protection which I can clearly read in the gumph that the buyer pays? Surely that would be additional to the offer I was made? Thank you

Mentor2 days agoYou do not have to accept offers! It is up to you to decline.
The whole system is messy, seller lists at £10 buyer sees £10.80. and will pay that amount and seller gets £10.
Buyer offers £10 that is what they will pay seller gets about £9.40.
Ebay says Free to sell but by making offers buyer effectively makes Seller pay the fee.

Mentor2 days agoA buyer offers what they want to pay so you get less because the Buyer Protection Fee is taken off that amount. You can make a counter-offer to get the full amount. When a seller sends an offer the BPF is added onto that.
