VAT
I too am experiencing VAT charges on second hand items sold within the UK. In my case it is second hand books when all books, old or new, are 0 rated for VAT. Why are these charges being made? How can I ask e-bay to address and explain when none of their FAQs seem to cover this specifically?

Mentor6 months agoIf private seller using simple delivery, then ebay breakdown the costs.
It confuses buyers when they see VAT, but this is only on the postage.
Ebay shouldn't show it like they do.

Mentor6 months agoAre you sure it is not VAT on postage? Surely the amount of VAT charged would tell you it is not based on the value of books?
