Variations listing
Creating a variations listing simply does not work. I've seen older posts here, that I cannot reply to since the beginning of October, its now middle November and there's evidently still no fix. I'm following the instructions on eBay pages and nothing works. I'm putting in what it tells me to get the variations options to appear and it still does not. I've reported. what am I missing? And/Or is this yet another hole in this terrible service?

Mentor10 months agoYou don't have to be a business seller to set up a variation listing, but it is category specific.
If you explain exactly what kind of drawings you're listing I'll have a go at setting up a test listing.
Just to confirm, you'll be listing in Art>Drawings?

Mentor10 months agoTrue Private sellers don't have items in variations, so it's not available to them.
You need to upgrade to business seller to use them.

OP10 months agoI dont believe so: "The advanced listing tool, available to all Seller Hub users..."
this is followed by vast instructions for lots of options. None of which work for what i want rn

Mentor10 months agoThe format isn't available in all categories.
If you can link me to an existing variation listing featuring same items as you want to list I can tell you how to set it up.

OP10 months agoI cannot. What I want to sell is entirely bespoke and unique. it is drawings on canvas category art - drawings. surely a variations listing would be therefore be possible?

Mentor10 months agoNo, the category and subcategory(ies) wouldn't support that listing format.
Multi variation listings are for items such as t-shirts in different sizes and colours, shoes in different sizes, DIY bits such as screws in different sizes.

OP10 months agoThanks both for responding but this far from any solution. I mean, "they" decide which categories to allow it in. but none of this is helping because I've just tried changing the category and none of these options I'm talking about appear with any of the categories you've mentioned/I've tried. nothing is working for me in this regard. Its like the page is literally ignorant of what I'm doing. Can I get an official developer response?
