Using Simple Delivery Item Not Received I Have Refunded The Buyer Can I Get My Money Back
Hi guys
I had a lovely buyer who hasn’t received his parcel. ( Due to Evri issues ) He’s put in an item not received request and I have refunded him.
Now I am confused as to what I do. I have lost the payment and the item.
I believe I used Simple Delivery

Mentor10 months agoIf you use Simple Delivery and a buyer opens a case for either item not received or item arrived damaged, then ebay handles it.
All you will get is a message from ebay saying the buyer 'reached out'. You won't get a case in the resolution centre.

Mentor10 months agoNooo, if you used Simple Delivery and the item was not received, the buyer needed to open a case for ... item not received. eBay would have refunded the buyer, and you get to keep the payment for the item.
It's one of the big bonuses of SD, that Private seller's are protected when using Simple Delivery, eBay will fully refund the buyer if an item doesn't reach them, or it arrives damaged in transit.
If you refunded outside a case the buyer needed to open, you cannot now redeem any refund you made.

Mentor10 months agoAs a Private seller Simple Delivery is mandatory, and only a few items are exempt, those in some categories, which are lightweight or oversize.
Do use it , as the bonuses are eBay will refund buyers if the item is lost or received damaged in the post, and the seller gets to keep the payout for the item.

Mentor10 months agoIt's by no means perfect, be aware combining orders is still a major issue, but the benefits are good , that is the refunding on eBay's part for lost and damaged in transit items.
