Used Evri rather than postage created. Cannot amend tracking.
Summary: gallagher1966 is experiencing issues with tracking information on a postage label. They used Evri to send an item but the platform's system shows Royal Mail tracking, leading to concerns about payment processing. *vyolla* advises that the tracking number can't be changed, but suggests adding the correct tracking if an issue arises. gallagher1966 acknowledges their mistake in postage payment and is hopeful for a resolution. *vyolla* provides guidance on how to apply for a refund for the unused label, detailing the necessary steps and conditions.
I cannot amend tracking for item. Regardless of ai instructions- it appears as Royal Mail with tracking number. BUT I Have posted via Evri, item received no problems. But because auto Royal Mail tracking is added to listing it is never going to appear delivered and therefore will my payments never be paid. ? Is this correct? Can’t seem to get to a person to resolve. I realise I have lost out on postage I didn’t realise I’d got a label all ready to go within the app so I paid again at post office ! (My fault) But payment for the item should occur at some point?

Mentor3 weeks agoThere's no way to add the new tracking number to the order details if you didn't use the Simple Delivery label. Your buyer will get a refund for the label within 30 days if they paid for it.
If your buyer opens an item not received claim you can add the tracking number to prove delivery, and your funds may be held for 14 days.

OP3 weeks agoThanks. I paid for the postage rather than the buyer (I made a right mess of it 😝)
Thanks / hopefully I’ll get paid sooner or later !

Mentor3 weeks agoIf you offered free postage and bought a label you can apply for a refund. The following instruction is taken from eBay's guidance page:
You'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form (link below) for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
To process your refund, we'll verify the following:
The label was paid for by you (you offered free shipping to the buyer).
The refund request is created within 14 days from the item's sale.
The label wasn't used within 14 days of the item's sale.
The package was delivered using a different tracking number.
If your request meets all these conditions, you'll receive a refund for the shipping cost.
