US customer unable to buy item

Could anybody please advise.

I am from the UK and someone from the US wants to buy an item I am selling but the system won't let them.

I am enrolled in the global shipping programme, so I am unsure why.

Does anyone know why it might be?

Is the item on a restriction for import to the USA? What is it you are trying to sell?
