UPS Major Issues. Do NOT ship to the US
If you sell to the US, I would strongly recommend that you desist from doing so. I have had wonderful experiences selling to the Americans over the years, but these latest tariffs have created a nightmare. I sold and shipped a WATCH, via UPS, (the ONLY option offered by eBay).
The watch never arrived. UPS tracking details state:
UPS reported the following about your package: 'The package is undeliverable and is in the process of being disposed of according to the local guidelines'.
According to the BUYER, she contacted UPS and was told that there is such a backlog and bottleneck of items coming into the country due to the new tariffs, that they are only holding them for so long before destroying them.
Of course, eBay insists I refund the buyer. UPS says, "You are not able to claim for this item".
If you sell to the US, you may be lucky. I wasn't. Once bitten.....
Happy selling.

Trump has caused a lot of issues with his tariffs.

OP11 months agoWrong. If I purchase my shipping through ebay, I have only UPS as an option. Royal Mail are currently not offering services to the US for business goods.

I posted a brooch to the US on 9th October using Royal Mail - documentation showed it was an Ebay sale although I am not a business seller. It was delivered on 15th October.
In the US it was delivered by UPS - not my choice but the onward service used by Royal Mail - promptly and with no issues.
It may be that you were misinformed - Royal Mail are certainly now accepting items to the US - or unlucky.
