OK, this is getting REALLY annoying now! Every time I try to place an offer or attempt a Buy it Now, I get "Unfortunately, this item isn’t available for purchase in your location.{e296657-1260494x}"
I'm in the the UK, I have a UK account, 3500+ 100% Feedback and I only buy from UK sellers. So, the issue isn't due to any restrictions
I just tried to put in a last minute bid on an item, got the error and lost out. Seriously p*ssed off!!

Mentor2 weeks agoSuggest you look at your personal information to check preferences and location.
After the latest mess ebay have made, I found that my Romford post code put me in Guildford. If similar errors occur, you could have been moved anywhere, which might explain why you get this response.

OP2 weeks agoSTILL Having the same issue! Surely there are eBay tech people in this 'community'. I tried to purchase two items today. One on my phone and one on my PC. Same error on both. I can't understand why eBay wouldn't want to solve this problem. If people can't buy, they don't make money. Or is that the plan? Like so many other companies. They realise they're not making enough from 'the little people' and concentrate their efforts elsewhere?

Mentor2 weeks agoThere is a bug to do with addresses. eBay say a delivery address must not exceed 39 characters including spaces on any line. Even if your address doesn't exceed that try something like moving the road name to the second line, then save as a "new address".

OP2 weeks agoThat can’t be the problem as it’s intermittent. I tried to buy something a few days ago and got the error but it didn’t happen when I bought something yesterday

Mentor2 weeks agoThe bug is intermittent apparently. You could try slightly rejigging your address and see if it helps.

Mentor2 weeks agoYou say it can't be the problem, but the 'address bug' can be affecting buying items intermittently, so worth checking how your address is registered , even as suggested moving the road name to another line, then save the new address.
