"Unfair Permanent Suspension despite Providing Valid Documentation
Summary: ja86_11 expressed frustration over their account being permanently suspended by a business platform without warning, despite providing all necessary documentation to verify their business legitimacy. They critiqued the platform's automated systems for prioritizing punitive actions against sellers. papso22 empathized, noting that many businesses face similar unclear suspensions. *vyolla* suggested that negative feedback on the account may have led to the suspension and indicated that once banned, reinstatement is typically unlikely.
quality service to my customers. Recently, my account was permanently suspended without any prior warning, open cases, or policy violations.
I immediately provided all the required invoices, documentation, and proof of my business legitimacy to verify my account. Despite complying with every request and proving the authenticity of my inventory, the support team dismissed my appeal without any clear explanation or human review.
It is disheartening to see that eBay’s automated systems prioritize punishing honest sellers over addressing actual issues. There was no communication, no opportunity to resolve potential concerns, and no accountability from their side. If you are a new or growing business looking for a stable platform, be warned: your hard work and verified documentation may not protect you from arbitrary suspension. Extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency and support."

MentorJul 18, 2026 at 10:13 AM@ja86_11 I've just noticed a very obvious issue - you're trading on a private account, not a business one, that will get you a red flag and I believe that's what started the investigation. Private sellers are ones who are listing their own personal bits and pieces they no longer want, such as clothes from their wardrobe/items from their loft etc. They don't have multiples of brand new items. It's a shame that you didn't notice this.

MentorJul 18, 2026 at 8:21 AMYou have 7 negatives and 7 neutrals suggesting that buyers aren't happy with the perfume/fragrance they've received, which is why eBay have asked for proof of authenticity and details of your supplier. I suspect that your seller performance has now dropped way below eBay's acceptable standards. Your Seller Dashboard should show more details.
Once eBay make a decision to permanently ban an account there usually isn't any way of coming back from it, we'll seen and helped a few accounts but unfortunately there isn't any way forward in this case.

MentorJul 18, 2026 at 5:18 AMI am afraid that what has happened to you has happened to many others who post on here and your frustration was also felt by them.
Many businesses are shut down for reasons that are not clear to us. I can only assume in your case that ebay were unsure of the legitimacy of your perfume and/ or there had been Vero reports.
