Here is my situation
I purchased a portable 2 TB HD and 2x TB HDs from another seller at the same time. At the same delivery I received two soft exactly the same envelopes. Opened one and there was a TB HD. Opened second and found just one 4 TB HD.
I wrote the seller about missing a HD in their package but he sends me photo with two envelopes and says he sent both. My argument that there was another 2TB HD didn't help at all. He still insisted he sent both.
I asked eBay for help but they took the seller's side in their final decision. My screenshots of communication with the seller (he wasn't adequate and respectful at all and played full) and proof of two purchases and deliveries at the same time didn't impress them at all!
I thought I would just leave it and my time not worth the money to seek for farther justice but this situation left a bitter taste and I can't just forget that unfairness and disappointment. It just lives in my head and I can't rid of that!
I've been with ebay for over 25 years and have had excellent experience but this situation turned everything upside-down!
I just don't know what to do with all of this.
Help please!

Mentor2 months agoNot sure but I think you may have opened the wrong case?
If you opened one for item not received, the seller then could enter a tracking number showing delivery and this would then close the case in their favour.
The correct case to open would be one for ' item not as described...... Item Does Not Match Description or Photos', opened within 30 days and escalated on day 4 if no refund is received beforehand would have won you your refund.
You can try your payment provider now for help with a refund.

OP2 months agoThank you for the explanation. Sounds reasonable. However I would expect eBay resolution center to look into the case beyond their instructions and to suggest doing so if that was the case rather than just to cut me off by making their final decision. Don't you think it would be rather the fair and right way to approach the case? They used to have a help centre phone number which would be handy to receive rather human support instead of humanoid one.

Mentor2 months agoThe process is automated and fairness does not come into it. Even if an agent was persuaded to look into it they would be unlikely to change the decision
You can only open one case, unless you open a not received case, then item turns up but you can then open a Not as described case, if appropriate, to return at sellers expense for a full refund.
