Unexpected parcel

Hi All
I have received an item that isn't for me. The address on the parcel is mine, but the name isn't - I haven't actually ordered anything off Ebay for ages, so I'm not expecting anything. And, no, i don't know the person the parcel is for
Been trying to use the 'help' pages but it doesn't offer any solutions other than telling me to contact the seller. There isn't anything on the label to suggest who the seller may be and I'm unwilling (at this stage) to open the parcel to see if there's an invoice etc...
Any ideas ?

If you have purchased items from eBay, doesn't have to be recent, checkout those sellers, they may just have posted to the wrong buyer.
Click on the seller's listings, then down the left sidebar click on Sold. If you find the item there, send that seller a message that you have received their item in error, for them to send you enough money to cover a fully tracked return postage to return the item back to them.
Do not be fobbed off with sending to the correct buyer, it goes back to the seller.
If this is not the case, and no one else in your household knows of this purchase, as said, google Brushing Scam see if that applies here.

If so, and it's a Royal Mail label just cross out your name and address, put a red ring around the senders details and write 'return to sender, not known at this address' on it and pop it back in the nearest post box.

Mentor2 weeks agoSounds like a brushing scam so you might just as well look to see what worthless item you have been sent, then bin it, or give to charity if worth anything.
