Unexpected delivery
I have received an item which I didn't order, addressed to me from an eBay marketplace seller. The only clue to the identity of the sender is a UK address on the postage label. How can I find out who sent it?

Mentor3 months agoIt could have been sent to you as a gift. All a buyer has to do is change the delivery name and address at checkout to have something sent straight to someone they know. So it could have been bought for you by anyone who knows your name and address.

Mentor3 months agoIf you have purchased some recent items from eBay, checkout those sellers, they may just have posted to the wrong buyer.
Click on the seller's listings, then down the left sidebar click on Sold. If you find the item there, send that seller a message that you have received their item in error, for them to send you enough money to cover a fully tracked return postage to return the item back to them.
Do not be fobbed off with sending to the correct buyer, it goes back to the seller.

Mentor3 months agoWhy bother it is up to seller to contact you, and supply a return label if he wants it back.
However if addressed to you by name there must be some connection between you and seller, otherwise how could he get your name.
