Unable to verify card /payouts on hold

Hi, I've been an ebay member for 22 years 100% feedback, over 3500 transactions.
Recently my funds were placed on hold stating i need to add a new payment method for seller costs, customer service advised me my debit card had been blocked? Despite it working perfectly on other transactions.
I tried deleting the card and re adding it but it's telling me they are unable to verify my card, so i tried my partners card and it still says unable to verify the card??!
I cannot add a card so am unable to purchase anything on ebay and am unable to get my payout either, i have no idea what to do?
Any advice would be great

Mentor3 weeks ago · EditedIF you are trying to verify matters for selling costs you don't use your card its a bank account number they require eg sort code and account number. CS are incorrect if they have told you otherwise.

Mentor3 weeks agoWhich device are you using to manage this? Some things cannot be completed on the app or mobile browser, a desktop browser is required here and try Chrome the site is built around this so the partnership works well.
Ensure cards have at least 6 months validity, and add here:

OP3 weeks agoI tried on chrome, also tried my partners credit card and debit card but still get the same message of unable to verify card, ebay customer service took one hour of conversation to tell me to try and add a different card, i really don't have a clue what to do next
