Unable to send message to seller
I have just won an auction for an iPhone.
I have twins and planned to buy each of them an iPhone; problem is that one of them wants the Hong Kong model with 2 nanosim cards. So I was trying to contact Hong Kong seller to enquire about the model he sells. Just wanted to be sure it has 2 physical sim cards .
eBay blocks my messages saying that ' they think my account has been accessed by a third party and my buying and messaging are blocked'!?
I was unaware that eBay policies forbid buyers from buying 2 iphones?! Is not buying and selling the whole reason eBay exists?!
As it is, I am probably going to cancel the auction I just won, since eBay thinks 'my account was accessed by third parties'!
Sorry for the poor chap who is waiting for payment for his item!
I thought I was accessing a sales site, not the Gestapo!

Mentor6 months agoSomething you have done has obviously triggered one of Ebay's systems that exists to protect members.
As that protection is a good thing, your Gestapo reference is inappropriate, as it would be in any situation these days.
If you want to keep your account you need to sort this out. Otherwise ask to cancel your current purchase.

Mentor6 months agoEven buying from Hong Kong is very risky, whatever they told you may not be true, and returning to Hong Kong fora refund could prove expensive.
Reason for blocking message could well be something you said in the message, or other problems which there have been with this seller. AI or ebays Robots are not very intelligent, and can detect problems that do not exist, by linking end of one word with start of next word, to create something not said.
