Unable to send invoice to combine shipping
Summary: consort178 sold three items to the same buyer, who requested a combined postage invoice. tressygirl explained that combining postage is only possible if items are first placed in the buyer's basket before checkout. They suggested canceling and relisting the items for a combined purchase or sending all items together with over-the-counter postage. This method has a risk of payment issues, such as tracking for only one item. consort178 appreciated the advice.
Hi, I have sold 3 items (private seller) to the same buyer - 2 just sold today, and the other 2 days ago.
All 3 are individually sat pending payment and look like 3 totally separate sales, rather than from 1 buyer.
The buyer has asked me to send an invoice with combined postage, but no idea if or how I can do this.
All 3 are setup with delivery via Ebay system, and if I select 1 of the items and choose send invoice it tells me "Invoices cannot be sent for items where eBay manages all or part of the postage"
I have no issue combining postage, as these are very light items, so will not affected postage costs, but am just stuck how I go about doing this.
How do I get a single invoice to the buyer, or how does buyer pay for 3 but only shipping for 1, and how would I change the status of each sale as they are all separate at present.
is there anyway Ebay can combine them for me?.

Mentor1 month agoYou cannot do this now. Combining postage under Simple Delivery is only possible if the buyer when buying first places the items into their basket, then proceeding to eBay checkout, they would find all items with a combined postage.
You have 2 choices now.
Either cancel the sale with the buyer's agreement, and relist all on one item for the buyer to buy and pay again. Cancel the item selecting ' Buyer Requests to Cancel', this fully refunds the buyer, and your seller performance is not affected.
Or, send the items together and buy your own over the counter postage. The drawback here is you'll only have tracking for one item so the potential of case for item not received to be made, and your payout would be held for a minimum of 14 days.
A refund is sent to whoever paid for the SD label:
If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days
If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.
