Unable to see members feedback
I just relisted my items and within seconds of them being listed someone brought something. I always like to check their feedback but when I look it is not showing any even though they have 1k of feedback, they are a private seller
Any reason why this would be?

Mentor5 months agoAlthough buyers can only have positive feedback, making their feedback private can hide what they leave for others.

·5 months agoI like to look at the feedback members leave for others - lots of negatives and 'never received my item' put me off.
I have never had a bad experience with a buyer who has private feedback, but it is a 'red flag' for me.

Mentor5 months agoSometimes when a seller has a few bad experiences and gets banned from selling, the seller cannot sell so makes feedback private until bad feedback etc. falls out of the equation. (12 months).
Not saying it applies in this case, it may just be that member does not realise that hiding feedback can give a very bad impression to sellers.
As buyers can only have positive feedback, there is nothing to hide, so as said makes me wonder why member does not want feedback to be seen.

OP5 months agothat is my feeling as well if there is not issue with feedback why hide it. Asked Ebay about it ass well and that have basically said the same thing.

Mentor5 months agoThey can't be a seller, they can only buy if their feedback profile has been set to private.
I can see no reason for setting a feedback profile to private, nobody can see what's been bought so it's a mystery to me.
Just to clarify, my feedback profile for this ID is private, but it's a posting ID.
