Unable to post a very small item, only a large letter at around £2.72
Hello Ebayer's I am an elderly gentleman with about 1400 Ebay deals mostly bought, with a 100% feedback, I have never sold much because I find Ebay troublesome, even more now.
Last week I sold some Zappers, the sticky badges on paper, I was able to pay 87p per small envelope charge and post them by RM myself, and charge the sellers just the 87p.
I have a lot of colour slides that I would like to sell through Ebay but when going through the selling process this small letter at 87p is not available for slides, it is £2.72 large letter.
I did a dummy run with a postcard and that WAS available at small letter rate.
I would much prefer things if Ebay let me use the postage system as I could 10 years ago
I hope you can all see where I am coming from.

OP10 months agoWhen Ebay's algoritham's pick up the word slide it goes to large letter rate, I have experimented by putting photograph as the first word and then including Kodachrome or 35mm etc
It is still work in progress and definitely deterring me selling slides and photos of my own taken over the past 50 years.

Mentor10 months agoThe ability to use your postage is decided by category.
I do not know whether there is a category covering colour slides but worth searching categories to see if the option will come up to use ordinary letter or large letter at 87p or £1.55.
