Unable to generate QR code to send purchased item.
Summary: goldie3.2009 is seeking assistance with sending a purchased item on eBay. They are unable to generate a QR code because of an issue with the buyer's delivery address. Even after the buyer updated their address, it hasn't reflected in the system. eBay suggests canceling the order and having the buyer repurchase, but goldie3.2009 is concerned about the risks of handwriting the address and possibly losing out. I'm trying to send a purchased item, but unable to generate a QR code to do so.
Ebay is stating that the buyer's delivery address contains invalid or missing details. After contacting him, he updated his address, which he also gave me, but it hasn't updated the delivery address in order to send the item. Ebay suggests cancelling the order and buyer to repurchase. (Payment on delivery), so payment pending.
What should i do? Could i handwrite the address and send it anyway, but there's no way of updating ebay with details and is it too risky, as i might lose out?

Mentor3 weeks agoThe address won't update for the existing transaction. You would have to cancel/refund (ebay will deal with the fact the payment is on hold) and relist for the buyer to buy again. Or you could write your own label but you'd be paying the postage yourself and the item will not be marked as dispatched (you can't do that manually). Not necessarily a problem but payment may be held for at least 14 days, which sounds like will happen anyway.
