Un-collected In-post item
Summary: wendyowers18 is facing an issue where a sold item was not collected by the customer at a designated locker and has since been rerouted back, but they have not received it. They have lodged an investigation with the delivery service, but there is no resolution yet, and the buyer is requesting a refund. They are seeking advice on what steps to take next, as dealing with a chatbot from an online marketplace has been unhelpful.
I sold an item and customer requested in-post delivery method. I subsequently downloaded the label and sent, however customer advised item was not at designated locker and therefore failed to collect. Parcel subsequently re-routed back to me, however I've not received it; buyer now wants a refund. Have lodged an investigation with in-post (have contacted them several times and there's an internal enquiry going on as to my parcels whereabouts); they advise you contact ebay, however chatbot is of no use whatsoever. What do I do next?😬

Mentor1 week agoAs long as you used Simple Delivery (and item is eligible) you are protected if it's lost in transit. So ask the buyer to a open "Not received” claim, they will get their money back from ebay and you keep the payment.
