Two year pass which fails after 6 months use
Summary: darrmont62 purchased a Priority airport lounge pass intended for two years, which stopped working after six months. Despite initially working and receiving a positive review, the pass was rejected during recent travel experiences. The seller insists the pass is still valid, but darrmont62 cannot use it as lounge systems show it as void, leading to feelings of being scammed. They are considering seeking a partial refund instead of pursuing a bank chargeback. tommystrezures notes that it may be too late for eBay or financial institution intervention and questions the choice of purchasing such an item on eBay.
I bought a Priority airport lounge pass which was to last for two years but it has stopped working after 6 months and two uses, it worked fine to start with and I gave a positive review to the seller but on a recent trip the pass failed and was rejected by two lounges in two different airports in two separate countries. The seller claims it is still working but it was rejected and I cannot force staff to let me in to a lounge when their systems show the digital card to be void. Any suggestions, I do not want to go to the length of asking the bank for a chargeback and have offered to accept a partial refund toi try to settle the matter but I feel deeply that I have been scammed by the seller. Any suggestions would be great, I am in the UK.

Mentor3 weeks agoMy points and lounge access reset every 12 months, so I suspect that's what may have happened here. However, you took a risk when buying such an item because after 120 days you'd be unable to issue a chargeback, and your only recourse would be legal action (if your seller is a UK registered business seller).

Mentor3 weeks agoYou are too late if you purchased six months ago to involve eBay and or your financial institution. The matter lies between you and the seller.
I may add why buy such a thing on eBay?
