Transaction defects
I have just noticed i have just got a third, transactional defect. I am due the second one off and have asked several times for the second, to be removed, as it's spent. Or should be, the time it has been on, there. I got this second, because a customer asked me, to delay postage. I informed eBay of this and STILL, got a defect. I want to know what the latest, is for. Nobody informed me of it and it seems, you have to be Columbo, to be able to find out why, in my experience. Would it kill, eBay, to inform users, when they pick up a new defect and why? They are sticklers, for ensuring we do everything, the way they, like. But they do not have the common courtesy, to inform us of these small issues that can, affect your sales.

·7 months agoYou can get a full report showing any defects and the transactions they are for by looking at your 'seller dashboard'.
The link will take you to your dashboard - if you choose the, for example, 'late delivery rate', you can get a full report.

Mentor7 months agoIt is a waste of your time to ask ebay to change the rules. As far as buyer asking for delay in posting, it is usually suggested cancelling the sale and relisting to buy again.
I have on occasions explained the situation to buyer and marked as dispatched to keep ebay and buyer happy.
Defects are serious as a private seller ebay expect no more than 2 defects per 100 sales, as once over the 2% seller is below standard with restrictions on selling, which prevents the volume of sales necessary to improve the rating. Defects stay for 12 months , but in practice can be up to 13 months.
