tracking problems at Gatwick no update
Hi, hope someone can assist??
I used E bay simple delivery and qr code for local PO tracking ok until arrival at Gatwick on Wednesday, now
Ebay showing not delivered and RM site shows at Gatwick ready to deliver to local since Wednesday and no update , Have messaged the buyer to ask if he has collected from local, should I deal with Gatwick to trace it, this isn't a cheap lens and Ebay holding money unntil delivery is shown!

Mentor3 weeks agoIt is up to buyer to open a not received case once past expected delivery date. Ebay refunds not you.
It is a complete waste of time for you to try chasing up a delayed item, once it is buried amongst thousands of other items.

OP3 weeks agoThe delivery date was around 12th/13th but Royal Mail said to leave this until the 20th, which date do I go with?

Mentor3 weeks agoIf you used a Simple Delivery label and the package is lost or damaged then eBay will refund the buyer if they open a not received claim.
As regards the money being held, it should be released within 14 days unless you're a new or infrequent seller, in which case it may be held for a bit longer.

OP3 weeks agoI am in contact with buyer he hasn't had it, yet and I don't know how long I should wait until I can inform them of item not received, or is it up to the buyer to do this? Sorry but this simple delivery method through Ebay is new to me. Thank you

Mentor3 weeks agoYou don't. The buyer opens an eBay item not received claim and eBay then make the refund. You keep the original payment.

OP3 weeks agoHi, Royal Mail customer care said to leave claiming as lost until the 20th, so I told the buyer to wait until this date - should he report it then or, as his estimated delivery date which I think was 12th or 13th is past should he do it now?? Thank you

Mentor3 weeks agoAs already mentioned, you can't claim with Royal Mail, eBay will if it's their Simple Delivery label.
Your buyer can open an eBay item not received claim one day after the latest estimated delivery date showing on his order. It's up to him as to when he wants to open a claim, he may be happy just waiting a few more days. I wouldn't worry about what he wants to do, that would be his call.
