Tissot watch sent for repair under warranty turned out to be fake according to tissot

Hi there I would like to know what should I do.. I bought a Tissot PRX Rose gold with box no papers so the thing is I bought this watch in October and I found out later that the seconds hand seemed to get stuck around 7:40 and I later messaged Tissot if they can fix it(just so u know it got registered with my account) they said sure it’s under warranty so they sent me box and package so I thought when I have time I’ll send it but then I went on holidays during the end of December for 3 months cause why not if I was invited and I forgot to send it so I did it just before the warranty expired(they received it one day before) they said where is the paper(warranty card) I said I don’t have it and where did u buy it from I said EBay and then they tell me our watch experts have said it’s fake unfortunately I did get upset and asked for explanation of how exactly they were able to see if it’s fake they said we checked inside but they said they can’t tell me what exactly cause fake watch makers can improve upon the fakes which is understandable (just so u know I already had a fake and eBay sorted it out for me so I knew what to check and it even matches the back part which you can see on tissot’s site)
so I don’t know what to do cause it’s been months so I don’t know if EBay could help me out(I have emails and a pdf saying it’s fake from them) if anyone's from eBay is here please help me out

·3 months agoOnly other members reply in this forum, but the honest answer here is that Ebay give you 30 days to open a case and return an item and, after that, they are not interested and won't help you.
Most payment providers (bank, credit card etc.) give you 120 days to start a claim if you buy an item online which is not what it claims to be so unfortunately, you are out of time with that route as well.
You may be able to make a legal case against the seller - have a look at the Report Fraud website to see if you can do anything through them - or see if Citizens Advice can offer useful 'next steps'.

Mentor3 months agoEbay will only help for 30 days after purchase, no exceptions.
You are probably also be out of time for through your funding source.
