threatening message?
Summary: christopheasto-7 expressed frustration over a delayed item from a seller who did not respond to their messages. The lack of response led them to contact eBay, which then flagged their message as threatening. *vyolla* noted that the original messages might have lacked direct questions and suggested relying on the order's estimated delivery date. fargvs advised opening an 'Item not received' case if the delivery was delayed. Ultimately, contacting eBay prompted the seller to dispatch the item, although their cancellation request was not honored.
Third message - no reply to previous twoThird message - no reply to previous twoI see you have bought postage now but it’s not been physically posted yet - can you let me know when royalty mail will actually have it in their hands
I sent the above message to a seller who had not replied to two previous messages and had not yet sent me my item long after his postage period had elapsed?
I then get a message from eBay saying it was threatening? - Madness, I'm now putting Ebay on notice that I will not be selling for a month, if they wish to contact me I will send them my reasons

Mentor3 months agoItem not received ? --- One day after the estimated delivery date given on the listing, open an official 'Item not received' case within 30 days and follow it through to case completion, you are entitled to a full refund ? >

OP3 months agoThe item was supposed to be dispatched but it still wasn't sent 4 days after the send by date - I contacted the seller asking when it would be posted, but got no reply, so I sent another, no reply - So I contacted Ebay to cancel the purchase, this was not accepted by the seller but it did spur them into despatching the item

Mentor3 months agoIt's possible that your two other questions went unanswered because there isn't really a question there, more of a statement.
Personally, I wouldn't bother contacting a seller to ask them when they're posting the item, there's an estimated delivery date on every order and as long the order arrives by then I can't see a reason to contact them. However, it is odd that your message has been perceived as threatening if that's the exact wording.
If you choose not to list anything for a month that's fine. You can end any active listings or put them on Time Away.

OP3 months agoplease see my reply above, there was an answer needed simply as 4 days after it should have been despatched it wasn't I wanted to know when or if it was going to be sent.
Thanks for agreeing re the message I sent, it's not threatening at all, I'm always pleasant.
I've now removed ALL my items for sale until I get an apology they won't be re-listed because I'm having better results on item specific forums
