Dear eBay Customer Support,
I am writing to respectfully ask if you would consider reviewing the permanent selling restriction on my account. Decades ago.
I fully understand that eBay has to take the sale of counterfeit items extremely seriously, and I accept responsibility for what happened. However, I would like to explain that I genuinely did not know one small consignment of perfumes I had sold were counterfeit.
As soon as I became aware of the issue, I acted immediately. I contacted every buyer, issued full refunds without requiring the items to be returned, and informed both eBay and PayPal myself. I wanted to do the right thing as soon as I understood the situation.
I have always regretted what happened. There was never any intention to deceive anyone or profit from counterfeit goods. My actions after discovering the problem were motivated entirely by honesty and by protecting my buyers.
A considerable amount of time has now passed, and I would be extremely grateful if my case could be reviewed. If given another opportunity to sell on eBay, I would ensure that every item I list is thoroughly checked for authenticity and that I comply fully with all eBay policies.
I appreciate that you may decide the restriction should remain, but I hope my honesty, the steps I took to put things right, and the time that has passed might allow my case to be reconsidered.
Thank you for taking the time to read my request, and I would be grateful for any review you are able to provide. Ironically since you also own PayPal you'll note my record there as a business user is impeccable. We're both missing business whilst this continues, which Vinted has gained. Which is a real shame.

To speak to customer support use "Help and Contact" at the top or bottom of every page, or "eBay help" at the top of this particular page.
Good luck, but there is normally no appeal against a permanent restriction and other sellers have often told us that eBay won't even discuss it.

Mentor3 weeks agoeBay do not still own PayPal, they sold it over ten years ago.
AS said, a permanent restriction on eBay does mean a lifetime ban, sorry.
