The buyer got the refund from dispute without saying a single word
Summary: ancientshop reported a transaction issue where a buyer confirmed receipt of a watch and thanked them, but later opened a dispute claiming the item was "not as described." Despite multiple attempts by ancientshop to contact the buyer and address the issue, the buyer did not respond and ultimately received a refund while keeping the watch. ancientshop expressed frustration over the situation, considering it unfair.
I received an order from the buyer, and after receiving the watch, the buyer contacted me to confirm that he had received it and thanked me. However, several days later, he opened a dispute claiming that the item was “not as described.”
I challenged the case and tried to contact the buyer several times to understand what the issue was and resolve it, but the buyer did not respond or provide any explanation. Despite this, the buyer has kept the watch and has also received a refund.
I believe this is unfair, as the buyer confirmed receipt of the watch and did not give me an opportunity to understand or resolve the alleged issue before receiving a refund.

Mentor2 weeks agoA buyer does not have to get into any conversation why they have opened a case for item n0ot as described.
Once opened it's all automated no human contact so if you do not respond in 3 day with either a refund or a paid tracked return postage label, the buyer can escalate the case to eBay, they step in and force the refund, here the item does not have to be returned.
Is this what happened?
