taxed on sales when all items were used
I got taxed on my 2025 sales, when everything I sold were used items. My total sales in the report is only
£862.74, but have been taxed about 20 pounds. How do I claim this back as they are all genuinely preowned items of mine. 20 pounds is a lot, when I have been trying to get rid of things for 5 pounds, 2 pounds here and there, only to be stripped away 20!!

Mentor3 months agoYou are misinterpreting something. Charging income tax is a formal process involving HMRC not ebay.
Just because sales are reported does not mean they are taxed.
If you can show us why you think you have been taxed we can explain what you are seeing.

eBay don't charge tax and I doubt HMRC would be charging tax of £20 on a private seller selling preowned items
