Tax and national insurance
I’m new on eBay do I have to pay tax as they asked for my national insurance number and I am technically a small business do I pay tax and national insurance and how. Please help me eBay help centre isn’t given me a clear answer thanks

Mentor1 month agoIf you are a small business then you should be registered correctly as a business seller.
”Do you pay tax” If you are earning more than the tax free allowance then yes you pay tax. Ebay require your NI number as they are required to report to HMRC if your transactions exceeded certain figures.
You need to register correctly before ebay get round to blocking you.

Mentor1 month agoUsing desktop, not the app, go to your Personal Information in your account and to the right of Account Type, which will be showing as 'Individual' you'll see an Edit option.
