Switching from Personal to Business Account: Tips and Experiences

I'm having some trouble switching my personal account to a business account. I've looked around but can't seem to find the right steps. If anyone has successfully made this transition, could you share your experience? What challenges did you face, and what tips can you offer to make the process smoother?

Also, what benefits have you noticed since switching to a business account?

You need to do this via desktop, not the app - To register as a business seller simply go to your Personal Information in your account and to the right of Account Type, which will be showing as 'Individual' you'll see an Edit option.

Firstly, apologies for the long delay in replying there was a technical issue with this particular board which prevented us from answering, until now.

If you haven't done so already I can help you switch your account to a business one, but you will need a laptop / PC and not the app for this.

Go to Account settings in My eBay.
Select Personal information.
Select Edit next to Account type. You may be asked to sign in again.
Select Confirm to upgrade to a Business account.
Specify whether you operate your business as a legal entity or as a sole proprietor and select Continue.
On the following page, enter your business information such as name, contact information, and returns policy. Then select Save.

Probably best to use a PC / laptop for this, and not the app or mobile browser. Chrome seems to work best on eBay.
