Stolen package
Ok, so I got an email from a customer saying that their package was stolen off their doorstep.... not my fault, but now they would like my home address and email for a claim for from royal mail. Gdpr? Am I required to do this?

Mentor5 months agoTransactions on eBay are governed by eBay's user agreement. When a buyer wishes to claim a refund for non-delivery they need to open a case under eBy's money back guarantee. If eBay finds in their favour eBay will either refund them themselves (if the item was sent using simple delivery) or require the seller to do so.
The reality is that if the item was tracked as successfully delivered to the buyer's address eBay is unlikely to accept that it was not delivered. eBay's money back guarantee doesn't cover the theft of items after they have been delivered (which is a burgeoning crime).
Under the user agreement, eBay will decide all refund claims and disputes. Both you and the buyer agreed to accept their decision.

Did you use Simple Delivery? If so your buyer could try putting in a Not Received case which, if accepted, would be covered by ebay.. I'm not sure ebay would accept the claim if it was stolen off the doorstep as presumably the tracking says delivered. But it might be worth a try.
