something is not correct with ebay there agents AND THE platform I am closing my account
something is not correct with ebay I am closing my account and going to whatnot.com I contacted ebay and agents are asking for my full name, yet when I asked them for there full name they told me they are not allowed to give it to me

Mentor5 months agoNo CS agents give their name, it's not required and wouldn't verify anything anyway. If they say that their name is Joe Smith how do you know if it is or isn't?

Mentor5 months agoeBay need your full name to verify who is calling. You don't need to know the agent's full name.
eBay is right to protect agents' personal information when dealing with the public. Any business you have is with eBay, and their full contact details are given in the user agreement.

OP5 months agomy account was hacked and my passkey was changed, I get it that we have to be verified I also want to know that the person who is calling me is from ebay, I am no longer giving them my business, I have taken down alllistings 68k worth.

Mentor5 months agoEbay CS will have your personal details so they can check they are speaking to account holder.
Even if they told you there name, you won't know who they are.
You seem disappointed with ebay, so maybe closing-account is best, but it is your choice.
You could leave it open and still have option to use it again at a future date.

Any company that speaks to you about your account without ensuring that you are genuine then is not doing their job properly.
