Somebody please help
Summary: laurethoma_46 is seeking advice after a seller ignored a cancellation request and then accepted a bid for a bag, which they believe is not authentic. Despite being told they could return the item, the seller later declined and closed the return request. **peaseblossom** suggested contacting eBay to reopen the return or reaching out to the payment provider for a refund based on the item's lack of authenticity.
Hello, I made a bid on a bag and messaged the seller straight away to cancel it. He ignored my message for one day and then accepted the bid. I messaged again to say I didn’t want it but he said it had already been posted and he would accept the return and to send it back when it arrived. I put in for a return today and he has declined it and closed it. The reason I don’t want the bag is because it is not authentic and I have all the messages of him saying I could return it. What do I do?

Mentor2 weeks agoYou obviously used the wrong reason for the return. Seller's can refuse those that count as 'change of mind'.

Mentor2 weeks agoYou can try to get to speak to someone at ebay and see if they will reopen the return. Not terribly likely and it's hard to get hold of someone these days. If not contact your payment provider, tell them the item is fake and ask about getting a refund or chargeback.
