You can ask the seller, but if they refuse or don't reply there is nothing you can do through eBay. One of the most frequently asked questions here is about sellers who don't want to know about problems. eBay's own protection only lasts for 30 days, after that they have no interest. Buying from strangers on eBay is NOT like the shops.
With luck your payment provider may still be able to help. If not, you may have some legal rights but having right and being able to enforce them against distant, uncooperative eBay sellers is not the same thing. You could consult Citizen's Advice.

Mentor3 weeks agoSorry you cannot get a refund from eBay as they have a 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee policy. Worth looking at for future purchases, it's written on every listing.
