Sold item & not got my money
I sold an item for £17 & the buyer opened a 'non received item' case against me, so I refunded them as I could see through my Royal Mail Click & Drop account they hadn't got the item. The item did finally get delivered to a safe place on tracking it, but the buyer says they never got it & that parcels get stolen all the time where they live. Royal Mail says there's nothing they can do & Ebay say the same. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do about this?

Mentor5 months agoEbay recently introduced some seller protection for this scenario but as usual with things that might cost them money, it's well hidden and I can't find the T&Cs right now!
It might be worth you looking on the site for the announcement.

Mentor5 months agoDid you refund through a case the buyer opened, because tracking at the time did not show delivery?
Now that tracking has shown delivery albeit the item has been stolen, you could inform Customer Services the item's tracking has shown delivery, they just may refund the refund, worth a shot.
Easiest way to contact eBay link below, and try as near to 8 a.m. as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Nothing you can do about a stolen item, as it's not your or eBay's responsibility where a postie / courier leaves an item they deem a ' safe' place.
