Sold item missing and buyer refunded - what as the seller can I do? | Member To Member Support

Hi, bit stuck about what to do. I sold an item and ebay provided the address label. Posted the item and it was stated as having been delivered 2 days later. The buyer said it hadn't arrived, didn't recognise the delivery address and opened a case with ebay. They refunded the money the same day. I'm left with neither the item or the money. I've followed the tracking info and the postcode is different to the postage label. It seems to be a Royal Mail Delivery office. I kept going and found that 4 days after the supposed delivery there is a 'sorry we attempted to deliver,' nobody in, arrange redelivery. So now I'm stuck. Do I inform the buyer? How will they pay me if they are able to get the item? Do I wait 19 days and hope it is returned to me. I can't find a way to contact or claim via ebay I'm just getting sent round in circles. The case was closed with no recourse for myself. Any help or advice really appreciated.
