Sold heavy item, buyer lives local, can I deliver it myself?
I've sold an item that's heavy/will be difficult to pack and risky to send via royal mail tracked. I can see that the buyer is asking for delivery local to me. It would be easier for me to stick it in the car and deliver it, but I can't see how to do this on the eBay app??

Mentor3 months agoYou could , but then you would not have that all important collection code the buyer could not give to you as this was listed as a collection item. The collection code when scanned, is the only proof the item was collected.
It's a bit of a faff, but the best way forward, would be to cancel the orders with the buyer's permission, so citing ' Buyer Requests to Cancel' . This fully refunds the buyer, and your seller performance is not affected.
Then, to relist as a Collection item only, for the buyer to buy and pay again. They then will receive that collection code. Do not release the item without this code.
You can if you wish, take the item now to the buyer, but as above you'll have no proof the item was delivered, and also the payout will be held for a minim um of 14 days .

Mentor3 months agoUnless sold with collection as an option, and buyer chooses that, you will have no proof of delivery to buyer, who could open a not received case to get a full refund.
The only safe way is with buyer’s agreement you cancel sale, which causes refund, and relist with collection option and he buys again.
