Sold an item but it exceeds the maximum leng dimension for the Royal Mail delivery label
I have sold an item but it exceeds the maximum length of the Medium Parcel label chosen by Simple Delivery. I don't seem to have any other options for creating a label from Parcel Force for example.
What are my options now ?

Mentor6 months agoYou could cancel/refund the transaction with the buyer's agreement (via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your orders list) and relist with correct postage for the buyer to buy and pay again.
To choose your own postage for large items, during the listing process click on the box under the heading Package Size. At the very bottom of the pop-up you should see Oversized. Select that then you will be able to buy your own postage (it will say SD is unavailable for this item). It has to be done on a laptop or desktop rather than the app. If the option doesn't show up try changing sub-category or category.
The alternative would be to buy and pay for the correct postage yourself at your post office. To mark dispatched and get the buyer's address you still need to generate the original prepaid label (Get prepaid label > Get prepaid label and QR code). It will remain unused. However you cannot add a new tracking number. All you can do is message the buyer with the new tracking details. You would still be able to add the new number to a "Not received" case if the buyer opened one though. Assuming the buyer paid for the unused label it will be automatically refunded to them in 30 days.
