simply delivery with lost parcel
My parcel is being returned to me, but I haven’t received it yet. The buyer is waiting for a refund.
Should I ask the buyer to open a case so eBay can investigate, and possibly receive compensation for the lost parcel?
It was sent with a simple delivery (not eBay Packlink), so I can’t claim it through Packlink.
What is the best thing to do in this situation?
I appreciate your help!

Mentor11 months agoYes, you're correct to ask the buyer to open an eBay item not received claim if this was sent with a Simple Delivery label.

Mentor11 months agoIf the item had an attempted delivery the buyer will not receive a refund, but if you receive the item back, in my humble opinion it's morally correct to then refund your buyer you may need to do this via PayPal, a cheque or bank transfer.
If the item was not delivered at all, not attempts to deliver, ask your buyer to open a case for item not received. Under Simple Delivery rules, eBay refund the buyer, and you get to keep the payout.
