Simple Delivery shipping price increments jump from 2kg to 15kg...
...so for a 4kg Medium Parcel I'm quoted £10.80.
On my wife's account, she has different Medium Parcel rate options in her drop-down menu - up to 10kg or up to 20kg.
So choosing >10kg she's charged only £6.65.
I would like to choose that option - SD, and £6.65 - but it's not available to me. So I am continuing to use Custom Delivery which costs £7.05 (plus I pay 30p to have the item collected - on SD it's free, of course).
Maybe it's something to do with my account still allowing Custom Delivery whereas hers doesn't.
I have tried to contact eBay but it appears they've updated their Help! page and you must communicate with a bot first. No thanks. And thanks, by the way, in anticipation of suggestions here...

·5 months agoThe answer to your question is really straightforward.
It has nothing to do with your account, it's what you are selling. The items you sell are not eligible for Simple Delivery.
Ebay doesn't publish a list of categories which are not eligible, but, as you list, you will see this message:
Domestic postage

OP5 months agoThanks for the reply, but the item is eligible for Simple Delivery. I altered it momentarily and it went live on SD. Then I decided that £10.80 is unrealistic for a 4kg parcel so I changed it back.
I even made a draft listing of the item on my wife's account using the same category and again it accepted it, but offered me the up-to-10kg option for £6.65.
