Hello
I have been selling on e bay for years, but in the last 10 days or so, I have had five buyers who have changed the p and p on Simple Delivery to minimal amounts! On the order details, it actually says 'buyer selected'.
For example - massive wool rug, but wrapped up to correct dimensions and weight of 9.5 kg - I set p and p charge on original listing for £6.65 for a parcel between 2-10 kg
However, when I came to print off the label, the buyer had reduced the p and p to £5.54, which was for a parcel under 2 kg
Also, I was reported by the carrier that I had sent an item that was too big / heavy a couple of weeks ago, but there was a very whispered conversation between the lady on the desk and the Post Master , then i had the notification I was reported? In addition, earlier in the year, most of the larger parcels I sent, arrived damaged - a mirror, an angle poise lamp, a metal tree ...
I have not changed any settings as far as I know - is this just happening to me?!!
Thanks for reading - hope someone can help ...

·5 months agoThe postage always says 'buyer selected' in the order details. However, buyers can't change the postage unless they choose a faster, more expensive service.
You need to check your listings and make sure that the postage displayed is what you expected and what it will cost.
If you use 'sell similar' but change the postage on one item, the postage can change on all the items listed using that 'template'.
So, I recently listed a more expensive piece of jewellery and listed it with Special Delivery.
Then, a lot of my other items, some only costing a few pounds, also changed to Special Delivery.
So, spend a few minutes looking at your listings to make sure the postage is correct.

OP5 months agoI don’t inflate my prices and had never had any trouble until last few weeks
Eg small parcel just now for 3 Race Programmes weighing between 1- 2kg, but deeper than 2.5cm - £3.45
The buyer has paid £2.72 p and p, which is large letter less than 1kg. I’ve checked the original listing and it’s my price on it
Maybe I should change Post Offices?!

·5 months agoYour price is shown as £3.38 - can you screenshot the detail from your sold items showing the buyer paid £2.72?
Are you certain you are not being confused by the VAT - Ebay show the postage amount broken down.
Below is a recent Simple Delivery sale from my account. This was a small parcel, Royal Mail label.
The buyer paid the correct, listed price (to Ebay, rather than me) of £3.38. (£2.82 + VAT)
