SIMPLE DELIVERY Postage and Royal Mail Issues

hey everyone,
i sold an item, and it was sold with this simple delivery thing ebay are doing. i dont have a printer at home, so on all my postage i do a QR code i can scan, or i do a collection.
the buyer selected royal mail tracked 48, which is no issue. i didn't get a QR code, so i selected collection. Royal mail didn't collect, and want to charge me an extra fee to collect it... i went to the post office, with the original label, to see if they could get it printed there, or even scan the QR code on the label, but they said it isn't possible.
so i had to buy a new label, to get this item posted. how can i get compensated for this label through ebay?
also, is there a way to turn off this simple delivery thing, its the worst thing ebay have done.

You can show the QR code at PO or shop for them to print label.

MentorAug 11, 2026 at 12:36 PMYou cannot switch of Simple Delivery, sorry, but you can receive a refund for any unused SD labels.
If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days
If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.

OPAug 11, 2026 at 3:08 PMdo you know if i can receive a refund, for the label i purchased myself? it wasnt through ebay, because to organise a new label, it says you have to contact them. when im on the livechat, its impossible to get through to someone.

maybe i'll just increase the price of all my products, and offer free delivery.
