Simple Delivery not used
I listed an item and ebay applied its Simple Delivery for me without asking.
On selling the item, I packaged it up, weighed it and measured the size, and it is heavier than the 2 kg they estimated, and the box size is larger.
The original service they quoted was insufficient, but now they have taken the money from the buyer while I have been forced to pay for DPD to deliver the item. Consequently, I cannot enter the tracking nummber into ebay as there is no option to do so (it expects me to use their service), and I cannot see how to get the money ebay have taken from the buyer for postage from them, as this is rightfully mine.
Any advice ?
Simple Delivery sucks, as does ebay customer services as their 'AI bot' is stupid, and there's no way to just send them an email.

Mentor11 months agoIf you open the original SD label that will mark the item as dispatched. Then see if you can change tracking.Â

If not the payment will be released anyway in 14 days.Â

 The cost of the unused label will be refunded to the buyer in 30 days.

I spoke with ebay customer services in the end, and they took me through the process .... We got there in the end, but not certain it is the precise outcome I wanted as the buyer had paid for delivery, but I had to use a different service and pay more in order to despatch it. That came form my own pocket, so I was trying to get ebay to release the funds paid by the buyer *to me* to offset the increased postage cost due to the underestimate initially applied by 'Simple Delivery'.
I domn;t think I like simpel delivery, and have definitely ost out as a consequence of it, but I thank you for your assistance in trying to solve my issue 🙂
