'Simple' delivery is designed by simpletons
I am furious about eBay's 'Simple' delivery which is anything but simple - and has clearly been designed by simpletons.
I have lost two sales in 24 hours through eBay's Simple delivery system that determined an object 65cms long will fit in a shoe box 45cms long!
There is no way of amending eBay's Simple mistake apart from cancelling a sale and then relisting it with a bigger parcel.
These are for listings which had been posted by me for £5/6 delivery. Presumably A1 read the listing, headlined 65cms long altar cross, and decided it would fit in a shoe box. You could forgive that if you had the opportunity to amend the package size and absorb the added cost yourself. But no. The only solution is to cancel the sale and relist with an amended package size.
There are two solutions here. Either me go through the dozens of listings I have and amend the package sizes foisted on me by eBay or for eBay to fix the problem and enable me to amend the package size-post sale if I am happy to absorb the extra cost myself. I won't hold my breath...
