shipping costs on multiple purchases
Hi folks
By the looks of it, it appears that I am not only one having issues with adjusting the settings on the sellers page to allow multiple purchases from the same buyer and ensure that they are not over-charged for postage/shipping.
But for some reason, I am having to agree the order and then refund the customer afterwards for the additional postage/shipping charges.
Any assistance would be appreciated
Regards

It possible not to use simple delivery, and use traditional ways of posting,
As when I am listing I pick my own flat rate option for shipping, but when the listing as completed ebay changes it to "simple delivery", is there anyway I can stop this from happening.
Thanks in advance

Mentor5 months agoThe only official opt-outs are for some letter or large letter items under £20/100g (in some selected categories), for items of £750 or more, and items bigger than 120cm x 80cm x 80cm or heavier than 70kg.
The alternative is to list with free postage and factor that cost into your item price. To get the buyer's address and mark dispatched you have to open the original prepaid label (Get prepaid label > Get prepaid label and QR code). The option to change the tracking has been removed but you would be able to add the new number to a "not received" case if that were necessary.
You can claim a refund for an unused label here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
However some people have said they do not receive the refund so I'm not sure how reliable that is. And without tracking on ebay the payment may be held for 14 days.

Mentor6 months agoIf you're using eBay's Simple Delivery you don't need to refund buyers for unused postage labels. eBay automatically refund them in 30 days.
If the buyer buys the items all at the same time, putting each in their basket (on a PC, not the app) they will be automatically combined and you will receive one postage label. If they are bought separately they will not be combined but you can just send them together anyway although some will be untracked.
