sent a second parcel from seller that i don't want. would you be willing to offer guidance?
Summary: vancouverlight has received an unwanted second parcel from a seller and is seeking guidance on how to handle the situation. *guinevere* responded, but the content of the exchange is not provided. vancouverlight followed up without visible resolution or further details.
first time this has happened to me...I bought an item from a seller that had arrived (about £10 in value) , and a few days later i received another parcel from them and i opened it to see that it was something similar, but of course not something i'd bought or wanted.. i let them know and they said it was a mistake and could i post it and they'd pay me back, or they'd produce a link for me to pay for it.
i said please post me a pre-paid label (a hard copy that i can stick to the package) and i'd be happy to send it back..
they said could they have the tracking info from the packaging and could i send them an email and they'd send a label through...upon entering the tracking number into the courier tracker site, its the same as that for the original parcel.
this is where i've left it, i haven't contacted them.
i'm asking here, as i'd like to know what the best course of action is..would you be up for offering pointers or tips, is this legit for instance?
my thought is that i don't want to be tidying things up for them..i don't have alot of money and i don't have a printer or phone to sort printing the label out.. additionally wouldn't this fall under unauthorised mechandise?
(excuse the wordiness, as autistic so also getting stressed at this)

Mentor4 months agoAs this is the seller's mistake and it doesn't come under any of ebay's rules, you should insist he sends a paper label for you to return it. That is what I would do.
You hold all the cards, as it is officially unsolicited merchandise you are under no obligation to send it back anyway. Obviously you want to do the right thing so tell your seller that you want to return the item but can only do so if they send you a physical label.
